AFRICANISING DEREKH

The Sovereign LORD, Yahweh, is the God of all Nations. But each Nation has its own Culture, and God accepts cultures of all nations. European and American Christianity is dressed in European and American Culture. African Derekh must equally be dressed in African culture. To come this far, however, we have to defeat African self-abasement and cultural capitulation.

AFRICAN ORTHODOX DEREKH is launched to take over and delete European and American Christianity in Sub Saharan Africa. Our request to these foreign churches is that the job of Evangelising Africa was completed over a century ago, and what remains to be done is merely administration of Derekh Yashar (Faith) and Derekh Eretz (Meeting the requirements of scripture).

Western Christianity comprise the biggest Christian church in the world, The Roman Catholic Church, European Protestant churches of Lutheran, Mennonite and Anglican that broke off from Rome in 1517 to 1650 CE. It also includes over 100 American churches that call themselves Pentecostal or Evangelical. All these teach Greek Derekh which is called Christianity. We request all of them to exit SSA and handover their church buildings to AOD. The Lutheran Church in Germany in 1530 and the Church of England in 1543, were the first to take over Roman Catholic churches in their countries and convert them to protestant Christianity. There is therefore nothing new in what AOD is aspiring to do.

In taking over Derekh faith, Sub Saharan Africa needs to work together and create a non-political religious platform. A non-political religious platform covering all 42 countries is needed for Africa to be able to elevate its spirituality, ethics, social refinement and political character. A joint Derekh domination is also needed to ensure AOD can have enough resources to research and write its own Mikra (Bible) from Jewish and Greek records. Even though the Mikra is the same for all denominations, currently, each denomination has its own version of it, and when you read through several of them, verse by verse, you notice significant differences in some books.

Africanising DEREKH faith does not mean diluting scripture or bringing traditional African mediocrity and pagan practices into Derekh faith; not at all. There is a lot of room for Derekh faith to acquire African identity while remaining strictly Jewish as Derekh Eretz. Derekh faith stands on Emonah (faith) and Heading of scripture. AOD must forcefully banish African witchcraft both through Healing and Deliverance but also through spiritualisation of African masses.

We beseech Africans to drop their centuries old culture of waiting to be led or ruled by foreigners. With 1 billion people, SSA is a very big nation if only it can work together, instead of against one another. God has, through His only Son, Isho Hamashiach, promised us good life and salvation if we meet Him halfway. Africans must rise to come to the PAVED PATH, that God has built for us so that we no longer have to wade through the bush or knee-deep mud where we might get injured, greatly pained or swallowed up. DEREKH is the Paved Path. Let all of us join DEREKH, and start moving. DEREKH is upholding the spiritual concept of the PRIESTHOOD OF ALL BELIEVERS, so we are all priests who report directly to the Hamashiach. Let us rise to this title by taking part in the establishment and management of AOD in our area.
